आज यह दीवार, परदों की तरह हिलने लगी,
शर्त लेकिन थी कि ये बुनियाद हिलनी चाहिए।

हर सड़क पर, हर गली में, हर नगर, हर गाँव में,
हाथ लहराते हुए हर लाश चलनी चाहिए।

सिर्फ हंगामा खड़ा करना मेरा मकसद नहीं,
सारी कोशिश है कि ये सूरत बदलनी चाहिए।

मेरे सीने में नहीं तो तेरे सीने में सही,
हो कहीं भी आग, लेकिन आग जलनी चाहिए।

Poetry has its unique magical way of touching one’s soul with its pleasant intermingling of words that carry the capacity to melt hearts and revive oneself from dull monotonous routines. 'Aaj Kavita' is a series organised by the Raza Foundation that gives platform to young emerging poets from across the country.

Here, we publish the first session of Aaj Kavita by Mahesh Sharma (Ambikapur), Vivek Nirala (Allahabad), Piyush Dhaiya (Delhi) and R. Chetan Kranti( Delhi), the session was moderated by Mr. Ashok Vajpeyi.

The event was organised at India International Centre Annexe on 30th of March, 2017.
