Biswajita Moharana (born 1984) is a young artist based in Bhubaneswar Odisha post graduate in ceramic from Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan in 2010. In her practice she explore the psychological and emotional aspects of feminine feelings and innocence, she shapes her vision in different forms and deriving inspiration from nature. This approach motivates her look forward to the pleasure of fulfillment to the emptiness of internal sounds. In her works there is an exploration of colour and texture inspired mainly by the effects of forms. This works fired to stoneware is a gas kiln which gives beautiful and finished colours. She took ceramic and Terracotta as a medium of her works. She has used various techniques and experiments to explore the mediums.
Biswajita has actively participated in numerous art events including Bon Art project 1 s t online exhibition ,61st National exhibition of Art New Delhi,38th All Odisha Visual Art exhibition ,Odisha Lalitkala akademi,2013-multiple camp of Lalitkala akademi,2018 National ceramic camp at Lalitkala Akademi Regional centre Kolkata. Biswajita has been awarded by junior fellowship by ministry of culture and research grant by Lalitkala akademi,”All India ceramic category Bronze award”, in Praffulla Dhanukaar, state award, Art foundation Mumbai by state. BISWAJITA‘s work has been exhibited in stainless Art gallery, A 100 many splendored things, Bhubaneswar Art fair 2018, a group show of visual Art gallery new Delhi, one solo show at Boca café in 2018, Bhubaneswar.
