Dhiraj Pednekar is an Independent Visual Artist and Art Educator. He was born on 26th July 1990. Presently he lives and works in Goa. He has pursued his MFA in Sculpture from Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad (2014) and his BFA in Painting from Goa College of Art, Goa University (2012). His Art practice is multifarious which comprises a variety of mediums such as Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Audio-Visual production, and Performance Art. His recent works carry strong imprints of environmental and social consciousness and raise concerns over unbridled human invasion into the natural world. Pitted against the backdrop of ecology and consumerism, his works present society in a constant state of conflict. Therefore the works function as silent protest and shed light on the complicated relationship between Humankind and Nature.
