Ezhilarasan Ezhumale (Born 1982), Puducherry, Tamilnadu, has a M.Phil in Drama, A Master’s degree in Painting from Chennai Government College of Fine Arts. He is sensitive to his surroundings and the politics of the land and his works reflect them from time to time through paintings and sculptures. His recent solo show in Auroville highlighted the socio -political situation through metaphorical sculptures. He teaches at Fine Arts Universities in Chennai and Puducherry. He is keen to serve younger artists and holds camps and workshops to bring them together, through his Trust. His selected one man shows are - INTO THE... at Centre D’Art Citadines, Auroville, 2021, The Silent Source at Art Houz, Chennai 2017, La Gallery 360, Kerala 2012, Galerie Ateliers Sienne, Paris, France 2008, Galerie Lee, Paris, France, 2006, Alliance Françoise, Pondicherry, 2002. His works have been part of several group exhibitions in London, France, India Art Fair, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Puducherry since 1998. He has won awards from the Governor of Tamilnadu and Puducherry for Young Talented Artist. He also won a Fellowship from Govt. of India Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, 2018-2020, Scholarships from Govt. of India Ministry of Tourism & Culture, New Delhi, 2003-2005, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 2003. His collections are worldwide in France, London, Italy, America, Japan, Belgium, USA, Germany.
