Mukul started learning Hindustani classical vocal at the age of 10. He completed his Master’s degree in Music under the guidance of Dr. Vikas Kashalkar from University of Pune & was awarded a Gold Medal for the top rank.
Mukul is currently receiving training from Pandit Arun Kashalkar. He has also received rigorous Taleem from Pandit Sharad Sathe & has a large repertoire of traditional bandishes of the Gwalior Gharana.
Mukul is an 'A' grade artist of AIR and travels extensively in India and abroad for performances.
