Prem Bhardwaj was a fiction writer as well as an editor of the literary monthly magazine 'Pakhi'. His fiction and editorial work attracted wide attention in Hindi.
He is the recipient of the Raza Fellowship (2019) for his uncompleted book on the biography of Raj Kamal Chaudhary, an Indian poet, writer, critic and thinker in Maithili, Hindi and Bengali.
