Radhika Kathal has been pursuing Bharatanatyam for the past 22 years. Starting at the early age of 5, with her formal training under Dr. Sneha Chakradhar, she is currently a disciple of Padma Shri Awardee Guru Geeta Chandran. She presented her Arangetram in 2012.

An accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and a musician, Radhika is a graded artist by Doordarshan and is a recipient of the Junior Diploma from PrayagSangeetSamiti, Allahabad in Bharatanatyam and Hindustani Vocal Music. In 2013, Radhika was awarded the prestigious national scholarship, “Scholarship to Young Artists” for Bharatanatyam from The Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. She is also a recipient of titles such as “NrityaVilasini” and “RajatJayantiSamman”.

Over the years, Radhika has performed to diverse audiences across India (RanakpurMahotsav, Rasadhara Festival, Ananya Dance Festival, UdayShanakar Festival of Choreographies, to name a few) and abroad (United Kingdom, Thailand, Chile as part of ICCR)-both, as a soloist and in-group choreographies as part of her Guru’s NatyaVriksha Dance Company.

Radhika Kathal is founder/director of KALADHWANIan institute based in South Delhi, where she imparts training in Bharatanatyam and Hindustani Vocal Music.
