Sooraja K S (born 1991) is a young artist based in kochi (Kerala). Postgraduate in Painting from RLV College of music and fine arts ( Mahathma Gandhi University) 2015 and graduate in painting from College of fine arts Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala University) 2012. She got state awards from Kerala Lalitha kala akademi in 2017 and 2013. She participated in numerous art shows and camps. 'The world is one family'-a contemporary art show Alappuzha ,student's biennale -Kochi muziris biennale 2014, National art exhibition Lalitkala academy Delhi 2015, Emerging canvas Edition vii 2021(Inko Centre Chennai & Indian Art Museum Korea), Kerala Lalitha kala Akademi state exhibition 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018,2019, Khanashyamam; award winners art camp Gavi, kerala lalitha kala akademi 2021, National painters camp, Cholamandalam artist's villege chennai, kerala lalitha kala akademi 2018, PG residency at vagamon, by ‘kochi muziris biennale foundation’ wagamon idukki 2015, kerala lalitha kala akademi camps in 2014,2017,2018, 2021. Her works are based on personal experience. She did some experiments with natural colours and also worked on selfmade banana fiber paper. Acrylic on canvas is one of her favourite medium.
