Yogesh Ramkrishna (born in 1991) is a young artist based in Pune (Maharashtra). Postgraduate in Printmaking from M.S. University of Baroda (2016). He is a multi-disciplinary artist, whose art practice articulates the friction between traditional Indian beliefs and urban Indian life as they come to terms with each other through the observations of post-truth behaviors in society with mediums like painting, printmaking, photography, and video. Along with his solo exhibit “Don’t believe me! I am telling the Truth!” at the Gallery of Fine Arts, M. S. University of Baroda, Gujarat, Yogesh has actively participated in events like “Delhi Contemporary Art Week”, with Gallery Lattitude28, Delhi. “When is Empathy too much” and “Cartography of Narratives” group shows by Gallery Lattitude28, New Delhi, “Intagelo” Online Printmaking Exhibition by Magelo Printmaking Studio, Australia, “Minotaur” Two-man show at Gallery Dhi Art Space, Hyderabad, Telangana.“Babur Ki Gai” Group show curated by Advait Singh at Gallery Lattitude, Delhi, He was also a part of India are fair with Kanoria Art Centre and “Call to disorder” Project Curated by Vidya Shivadas at Serendipity Arts Festival, Panjim, Goa. Yogesh has been also part of various art residencies like “Black Church Print Studio” Residency with (IMMA) in Dublin, Ireland. “Kooshk” India-Iran Cultural exchange residency, Tehran-Iran. He also received several art grants and scholarships like the “Young Artist Support Grant” by National Photography Museum and 1shantiroad, Banglore. “Travel Grant” by Lalit Kala Akademy, Delhi. “Young artists scholarship” in the field of Graphics, by Ministry of Culture, New Delhi.
